CYF
Our Christian Youth Fellowship, or CYF,
is available to youth in grades nine through twelve on Wednesday
evenings from 6:30 to 8:00. The program emphasizes practical
application of the Christian faith to daily living. Activities
include Bible study and issue discussion groups, guest speakers,
service projects, social outings and fellowship.
Chi Rho
Youth in grades six through eight are
invited to participate in the Chi Rho Wednesday evening program. The
group meets from 6:30 to 7:30 following the F.U.N. meal, which begins at 6:00.
Group members participate in a variety of activities including Bible
study, games and mission projects.
Each year a
Membership Class is provided for junior high youth
interested in exploring their faith, and preparing to make their
Christian commitment through Baptism. The class
typically starts meeting after the F.U.N. program resumes following
Christmas Break, and the group is baptized in our sanctuary on
Pentecost Sunday.
The Membership Class meets Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Each member
is paired with an adult mentor from the congregation to assist with
learning the required material and to just "hang out" together.
Young Children
We have a number programs targeted for children in pre-school
through sixth grade. These kids can participate in church school and
Children's Worship on Sunday mornings, our F.U.N. program on
Wednesday evenings, musicals, Vacation Bible School, our annual
Christmas program and more. |
